Committed to Community

Remember  COVID-19? We do.  It paused some of our programming and shifted what we were doing in other areas. Despite slowly returning to normalcy,  it forced us to evaluate who we were serving and how we were serving them. We partnered with others and changed our approach, not our commitment to serve our neighbors. As we emerged from the pandemic, here are some ways we’ve pivoted our services to continue to impact our community.

CHALLENGE

The pandemic created staffing hurdles due to the transition to virtual operations and a spike in the demand for our services.

Change

We fully-staffed our program teams and reopened our downtown walk-in clinics.

CHALLENGE

Survivors of abuse couldn’t safely come to our courthouse office or get immediate access to emergency resources.

Our Standing With Survivors Mobile Advocacy program received a Mercedes Sprinter van! The first of its kind in Atlanta, the retrofitted van will allow us to assist survivors in need where they are.

After years of living in deplorable and dangerous conditions, residents of Forest Cove apartments were forced to relocate.
